[PPV Results] WWE Night of Champions 2012

Night of Champions has just concluded and for those of you who didn’t want to order the PPV or couldn’t afford it or were too busy watching the NFL, I’ve got the results for you in easy to digest form. Check it out:

  1. Pre-Show: Zack Ryder won a 16 man battle royal to get a shot at US Champion Antonio Cesaro on the PPV. (Ted DiBiase Jr. also made his televised return to the company in this match)
  2. The Miz (c) defeated Cody Rhodes, Sin Cara, and Rey Mysterio to retain the WWE Intercontinental Title
  3. Daniel Bryan/Kane defeated R-Truth/Kofi Kingston (c) to win the WWE World Tag Team Titles
  4. Antonio Cesaro (c) pinned Zack Ryder to retain the WWE United States Title
  5. Randy Orton pinned Dolph Ziggler
  6. Eve Torres (substituting for the “injured” Kaitlyn) pinned Layla (c) to win the WWE Divas Title
  7. Sheamus (c) pinned Alberto Del Rio to retain the World Heavyweight Title
  8. Main Event: CM Punk (c) fought John Cena to a Draw/Double Pin (Punk retains the WWE Championship)

So there are the quick results. Nothing too surprising, other than the fact Orton went over Ziggler (a ridiculous move in my opinion but maybe Ziggler will get his revenge this week on TV) and Eve coming out of nowhere to reclaim the Divas Championship (a damn good move). I’ve heard positive stuff about this show so maybe I’ll check it out on DVD sometime in the future. The way way future.
