[TV Quick Recap] NXT – 1/16/2013

NXT Recap

On this week’s edition of NXT Adrian Neville makes his very anticipated debut, Big E Langston gets into it with an old foe, Trent Barreta likely wrestles his last WWE match, and in the main event Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel take on a most odd combination of Damien Sandow and WWE U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro.

[WWE News] Trent Barreta and Skylar Moon Released; Barreta Already Booked for April Indy Date

trent-barreta

PWTorch reports that Trent Barreta and developmental women’s wrestler Skylar Moon have both been released from their contracts. Barreta has been working mainly on NXT shows since returning from injury last year, while Moon…I assume has been doing the same thing. Truth be told I’ve never actually seen her wrestle, be it as Moon on WWE programming or as Buggy Nova on the independent scene. Still it sucks when WWE loses another Diva; they barely have a division at this point and need all the women they can get.

Those of you worried for Barreta’s future shouldn’t fret as he’s already keeping himself busy. The same article that reported the releases also let loose that Pro Wrestling Syndicate has signed Barreta for the first night of “PWS Super Card”, scheduled for Wrestlemania 29 weekend.

No word on any more WWE releases but I’ll let you know when I know.
