[TV Recap] WWE Raw – 10/29/2012

It’s the night after Hell in a Cell and there are many questions left unanswered: why did Brad Maddox cost Ryback the match against CM Punk? What “photographic proof” will Vickie Guerrero unveil to further implicate AJ Lee and John Cena? What will new World Heavyweight Champion The Big Show have to say now that he has successfully ended Sheamus’ 6 month reign as champion? Will Cena and Dolph Ziggler get into it once again?

All this and more awaits you on this week’s edition of Raw. Click “read more” for full coverage of the show in all of its overly detailed glory.

[TV Results] WWE Main Event – 10/24/2012

Here are the results of last night’s WWE Main Event which aired on the Ion Network. Results are gleamed from Chris Shore‘s live coverage of the event on ProWrestling.net so go there for a more detailed analysis.

Match Results:

  1. Ryback pinned Dolph Ziggler.
  2. Alberto Del Rio defeated Sin Cara by submission.

Storyline/Segment Notes:

  • After the Del Rio/Cara match, Del Rio got on the mic to tear down Randy Orton to help hype their match this Sunday at Hell in a Cell. Del Rio imitated The Prime Time Players when doing so, which brought Young/O’Neil out. They teased attacking Del Rio for his imitation of the “Millions of Dollars” dance, but instead attacked Cara instead. Orton then came out and hit the RKO on both members of The Prime Time Players while Del Rio managed to escape. Orton then got on a mic and said that Cara’s partner Rey Mysterio was making his return next week (but didn’t he…whatever) and challenged Del Rio and The Prime Time Players to face him and Mysterio/Cara. So that’s the main event of Main Event next week.

WWE Main Event airs every Wednesday night at 8pm/7pm Central on the Ion Network with the episode then put up on Hulu Plus later on in the week.

[TV Recap] WWE Raw – 10/1/12

Raw Preview:

  • Raw ended last week with WWE Champion CM Punk coming face to face with the unstoppable machine Ryback. Is Ryback on the hunt for tougher competition? What does Punk think of his new challenger?
  • In addition to the stare down with Ryback, Punk was also on the receiving end of a lead pipe courtesy of John Cena. How will Punk respond to this attack and even if Cena says he’ll be ready for Hell in a Cell will the WWE Champion even grant him a rematch given the circumstances? And more over, will Cena even be in attendance tonight or will be at home tending to his injured elbow?
  • Paul Heyman crossed the line with GM AJ Lee last week by issuing a heartless and sarcastic wedding proposal. Expect AJ to react to the events of last week and given her mental state, things could get a little out of hand.
  • By virtue of his win over Randy Orton  on Smackdown last Friday, The Big Show is now the new number one contender for Sheamus‘ World Heavyweight Title. The two will meet tonight in a “Championship Debate” moderated by Smackdown GM Booker T.
  • The #1 Contendership to Team Hell No’s (Daniel Bryan/Kane) is currently up for grabs in an eight team tournament. Expect the tournament to continue tonight, and more than that, expect the dissension between the champions to continue to manifest itself.
  • Raw is live from Oklahoma City and the WWE will be honoring Jim Ross with “Jim Ross Appreciation Night”. But given his track record in his home state, will Ross escape the night unscathed or will he once again be made the fool?
  • Legendary journalist Larry King will be acting as Raw‘s Social Media Ambassador and like with all others who have held this spot, one question remains: will anything he says have any relevance to what’s unfolding on screen? And will he able to stay awake for the whole show when a lot of WWE fans can’t?

All of this and much more awaits you on the October 1st edition of Raw.

[TV Recap] WWE Raw – 9/24/2012

Raw Preview:

  • At the end of the show last week, CM Punk berated a new referee for his loss during the big tag team main event (Punk’s foot was on the rope). Undoubtedly Punk is still steaming will have a lot to say (maybe even more) about the injustice that occurred.
  • John Cena underwent elbow surgery last week and is not cleared to wrestle, but will be on the show in some capacity tonight.
  • Michael Cole will conduct an exclusive on-air interview with Jerry Lawler, who’s still recuperating from his almost-fatal heart attack two weeks ago.
  • The Prime Time Players (Darren Young/Titus O’Neil) made their presence felt last week by taking out Rey Mysterio/Sin Cara after their match. The Players are now ready to “take” whatever they want; what will they do this week and will Mysterio/Cara try to extract a little revenge?
  • Kane/Daniel Bryan continue their mis-matched Tag Team Champions shenanigans.
  • After destroying The “MizTV” set last week, Ryback has caught the ire of WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz. Does Miz have something sneaky up his sleeve?

All this and much more on the latest 3 hour edition of Raw.

[TV Recap] WWE Raw – 9/10/2012 (‘Night of Champions 2012’ Go-Home Show)

Preview for the 9/10 edition of Raw:

  • At the end of last week’s episode, it was revealed that WWE Champion CM Punk and Paul Heyman were in cahoots. The nature of their partnership will be revealed tonight. And expect John Cena to respond to Punk’s attack last week that cost him his Falls Count Anywhere match against Alberto Del Rio.
  • The legendary Bret Hart will make his WWE return to Montreal for the first time since the infamous “Montreal Screwjob” nearly 15 years ago.
  • GM AJ Lee will answer to her meltdown last week, and most likely continue to butt heads with Vickie Guerrero.
  • World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus will continue to find life after the Brogue Kick, which was banned last Friday on Smackdown by their GM Booker T.
  • Some more matches will be announced for this Sunday’s PPV Night of Champions. At least that’s what I’m hoping.

Expect all of this and so much more on this week’s edition of Raw.
