[TV Recap] WWE Raw – 2/4/2013

raw-recap

The end of last week’s Raw saw not only proof that Paul Heyman has been working with The Shield this entire time, but also heralded the return of Brock Lesnar who ended last Monday taking WWE Chairman Vince McMahon out with the F-5. Heyman has a lot to answer for this week and he will start right at the beginning as a guest on The Miz’s talk show “MizTV”. What will Heyman have to say? Will Lesnar and/or The Shield appear? And, perhaps most importantly, what does now former WWE Champion CM Punk think about all of this? Those are the big stories going into this week’s show. Also on the docket Punk will continue to build his Elimination Chamber rematch against the man who usurped him The Rock and the personal feud between World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio and The Big Show will continue to build. Smackdown GM Booker T also has a big decision to make in regards to who will be entered in the “Elimination Chamber” in two weeks. The winner will get a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship come Wrestlemania 29 so it is not a decision to take lightly.

[TV Results] WWE Friday Night Smackdown – 2/1/2013

WWE-Friday-Night-Smackdown (Small)

It’s time to gear up for the Elimination Chamber and this week on Smackdown GM Booker T announced what he was planning for the event. Also on the show one of the best teams ever officially broke up, an “All-American American” returned, and in the main event Alberto Del Rio took on Dolph Ziggler in a…non-title match. Hm.

[TV Recap] WWE Raw – 12/17/2012 (The 2012 Slammy Awards)

raw-recap

Raw 12/17 Preview:

  • A lot of stories to expand on after the events at TLC 24 hours ago (results here), but the big one concerns AJ Lee‘s betrayal of John Cena, costing him his ladder match against Dolph Ziggler and robbing him of a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity. How will Cena react? And more importantly has Lee turned her attentions to Ziggler?
  • In other TLC news, The Shield were victorious in their first in-ring outing, defeating the team of Ryback and Team Hell No in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. What is next on The Shield’s docket?
  • Post-TLC fall-out aside, this week’s episode will also center around the 2012 Slammy Awards. Who will come up big? Who will come up short? Will we see any long-forgotten faces?

[TV Recap] WWE Raw – 11/26/2012

Raw 11/26 Preview:

  • After putting Ryback through a table not once but twice last week, the mysterious “NX3” (Dean Ambrose/Seth Rollins/Roman Reigns) have a lot to answer for and tonight Michael Cole will try to get those answers in their first ever live interview.
  • Vickie Guerrero brings out even more evidence of a John Cena/AJ Lee “affair”. Deja vu, much? Also the John Cena/Dolph Ziggler feud that has sprung from this scandal continues and it’s Ziggler’s turn for revenge after being locked in an STF last Friday on Smackdown.
  • The Sheamus/The Big Show feud continues as we get closer to their “Chairs match” at next month’s TLC.
  • As of today, the WWE Championship reign of CM Punk has lasted 371 days with no end in sight. However Ryback is still on the hunt. Will there be a match announced for TLC? Who knows!

[TV Recap] WWE Raw – 11/19/2012 (‘Survivor Series 2012’ Fallout)

Raw 11/19 Preview:

  • With his (somewhat tainted) victory last night at Survivor Series, CM Punk will officially celebrate his 365th consecutive day as WWE Champion. Given the man’s ego and the massive accomplishment, don’t be surprised if he celebrates as obnoxously and heel-ish as one would expect from the “Best in the World”.
  • The other big news item coming out of Survivor Series is the arrival of NXT standouts Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns who threw Ryback through the Spanish announce table, effectively costing him the WWE Championship. The question remains: was this an attack orchestrated by Paul Heyman to protect his client or was this another Brad Maddox-situation where three young guys decided to take matters in their own hands to finally get noticed? Here’s hoping we get some answers, as well as some mic time for Ambrose. And speaking of Ryback, something tells me he won’t take this screwjob lying down…
  • Now that Cena has once again been come up short in the WWE Championship hunt, it is time for him to refocus on the whole AJ Lee/Vickie Guerrero storyline, which now has an added wrinkle in the form of Tamina Snuka who attacked Lee during their segment at Survivor Series. With that and Dolph Ziggler‘s win for his team last night, the bad guy side of this feud seems to have the upper hand. Jury’s out on what the next chapter of this soap opera will be, but I bet people will be bitching about it either way (including this guy).
  • Sheamus may have defeated The Big Show last night but it was by DQ and therefore he is not the World Heavyweight Champion once again. He didn’t take so kindly to this result and proceeded to decimate Show with a series of chairshots followed by a Brogue Kick for good measure. With TLC coming up as their next PPV, it looks like we’re headed down the “C” part of that road. No, not c*nt.
