[PPV Results] WWE TLC 2012

WWE TLC 2012

WWE’s last PPV of 2012, and last PPV before Wrestlemania season kicks into gear, has come and gone and by all accounts it was a lot better than it should have been. Click “read more” for the barebones results/notes from the show taken from the highly-detailed and better written live coverage done by Jason Powell of ProWrestling.net.

1. The Rhodes Scholars (Damien Sandow/Cody Rhodes) defeated Rey Mysterio/Sin Cara in a Tables match to become the #1 Contenders to the WWE World Tag Team Championship (9:20).

2. Antonio Cesaro (c) pinned R-Truth to retain the WWE United States Championship

[IMPORTANT SEGMENT] The Miz invited 3MB onto his talk show “MizTV”. They made fun of the Spanish broadcast team at ringside, bringing out Ricardo Rodriguez to try to make the save. 3MB backed him against the ring apron, bringing out Alberto Del Rio to help his best friend. The action moved into the ring and Miz/Del Rio cleared 3MB from it. Slater then challenged them to find a partner to face them in a six-man tag later tonight.

3. Kofi Kingston (c) pinned Wade Barrett to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship (8:15).

4. The Shield (Dean Ambrose/Seth Rollins/Roman Reignsdefeated Ryback/*WWE Tag Team Champions* Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan/Kane) in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match (22:45).

  • [[Notes]]: CM Punk and Paul Heyman made their way to the luxury box before the match and Punk admitted to liking The Shield even though they don’t work for him. Reigns and Ambrose power-bombed Bryan through a table before pinning him and winning the match for their team. Rollins appeared to be out of it due to smacking a table with his head after falling off a ladder.

5. Eve Torres (c) pinned Naomi to retain the WWE Divas Championship (3:10).

6. The Big Show (c) pinned Sheamus in a Chairs match to retain the World Heavyweight Championship (14:20).

  • [[Notes]]: Show won the match after whacking Sheamus with a comically-oversized chair. I really want to see what it looked like.

7. The Miz/Alberto Del Rio/The Brooklyn Brawler defeated 3MB (Heath Slater/Jinder Mahal/Drew McIntyre) when Brawler made Mahal tap out to the Brooklyn Crab (3:20).

8. Dolph Ziggler defeated John Cena in a Ladder match to keep his Money in the Bank briefcase (23:10).

  • [[Notes]]: AJ Lee came down during the match and turned heel, pushing the ladder over when Cena was inching close to the briefcase. A confused and surprised Ziggler took advantage with a superkick as Cena fell off the ladder, then climbed up and reclaimed his contract. Cena rose to his feet and smirked as the show went off the air.
